I have a special place in my heart for backyard weddings — there’s something just so sweet and effortless about a barefoot bride who made her own bouquet. Yes, that’s Amy! She picked wildflowers and twirled around in a vintage gown — and I was in photographer heaven. She and Brock are such an amazing couple. You can tell, simply by how many people were in attendance to watch them say I Do! Both Brock and Amy care so much for the people in their lives, and it’s obvious (especially by the fact that they had a taco truck at their reception). Taco ’bout a good time! … I’m sorry.
Their wedding day was full of so much dancing, love, and laughter, and I loved every minute of it! The icing on the cake was when we snuck away for some extra portrait time during golden hour… by the water! Again, photographer heaven. I’m lucky to have the chance to work with down-to-earth couples like these two. It really makes my job a dream! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Sumner! I hope you had an unforgettable time in Ireland (!!!) on your honeymoon, and I can’t wait to hear all about it. Until then, here are some highlights from your wedding day.
