May 11th is going in the books as one of my all-time favorite weddings. It truly was perfect in every way! I feel so lucky to have been invited to a gorgeous private estate on the Eastern Shore to capture Maria and Juan’s big day! This isn’t a typical wedding venue — the stunning property has everything from water views, to fields of flowers, to sprawling gardens and forests. I was in photographer heaven!
Maria and Juan met in Spain, where Juan and his family call home. Maria was abroad, working as an English teacher — and she was actually Juan’s tutor, teaching him English! From there, they started falling for each other and their bi-continental relationship eventually brought them to California. They’re so excited to start their lives together!
*Thank you to Morgan Kelley for second shooting with me*
The sweetest girls ever. Loved hanging out with them!
Opening a diamond necklace from her groom. Ah!
Maria, you are STUNNING!
This house was so open and airy! Obsessed.
Meanwhile, over with the guys!
Juan and his groomsmen were hilarious! A 10/10 wedding party.
Time in the gardens before the ceremony!
Time to say I Do…
Maria’s brother walked her down the aisle. SO sweet.
It started raining, but Maria and Juan didn’t panic. They were married!
The rain cleared just in time for portraits. Look at this yellow field!!
I just couldn’t believe I was shooting here… so wonderful.
Then Maria said, “Oh look! A swing!” I love this one!
If you know me, you know I love flower crowns.
Time for a party! Such a pretty set-up under the tent.
Beautiful first dance… one of my favorites I’ve seen!
A pretty cool surprise from Ukrainian dancers, to kick off the party…
Dancing the night away. Congratulations, newlyweds!
