This engagement session is unique because it happened twice! I photographed Lacie and Jon on two separate occasions, so I have double the pictures to share! On night one, we met at the beach under cover of clouds. I knew there was a storm coming, so we worked as quickly as possible, all while having a great time on the shore. I loved Lacie and Jon so much right away; they’re both so funny! Jon was a great sport too, coming up with plenty of his own ideas. Lacie is beautiful– inside and out– and we all became fast friends. Though right as they changed into their second outfits, the sky became so dark that I knew one of two things would happen: 1) we’d get poured on, or 2) the park gates would close. So, we decided to call it a night…

…but I wanted to keep shooting! I told Lacie that we could absolutely get together again, if she’d like more time in that pretty white dress. So night #2 was a go. I knew how much Lacie wanted a glowing sunset in her engagement photos, so thankfully we were able to make that happen. Who doesn’t love a sunflower field?! I love the photos from both shoots, and am so appreciative of Jon and Lacie for being flexible, easy-going, and FUN people! I just know their wedding next summer is going to be a great time.
