This wedding is so special to me. I’ve known the bride, Casey, for about nine years. We met in high school, and our mutual disdain for all things pre-calc turned into a long-lasting friendship. We went away to separate colleges at first, but the day she came to join me at Towson was such a happy one. We survived long nights as English majors, then graduate school… and now? We’re both teachers at two different schools, five minutes apart from each other. It’s just meant to be!
Speaking of meant to be, a few years ago an unsuspecting Casey went to a party at a friend’s house. Little did she know that, that night she would meet her husband. Garrett is hard-working, kind, and he takes such great care of her. In the time since she met Garrett, I’ve seen first-hand the amazing woman Casey has become. He brings out the best in her, and she brings out the best in him, too. They truly are partners in life.
For their wedding, they knew they wanted an intimate ceremony, surrounded only by close family (and me, haha). This was my first courthouse wedding! It was the sweetest little day. Casey and Garrett, thank you for everything– the talks, ice cream trips and game nights. Hope you live right around the corner from me forever.
