Carly and Logan: two of my all-time favorite people. Their wedding quickly became one of my favorites — and I have a feeling it will be a career highlight for me! What a day. The preparation for Carly and Logan’s wedding started early. Logan’s family built a beautiful, white chapel atop of a hill. Seriously, how amazing is that?! I couldn’t believe it. Then (because they clearly didn’t have enough to do – haha), they planted a field of wildflowers for the wedding, too. I was in photographer HEAVEN. Every detail was stunning, and I loved Carly’s effortless, boho style.
Right as the ceremony was about to begin, it started to pour… and I mean POUR. I was amazed, though, that Carly’s smile never faded. She was just so HAPPY to marry Logan– her best friend since high school– that it didn’t matter. I was equally as amazed that her hair stayed in place as well as it did! Not going to lie… as the rain came down, I started to panic a little. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to shoot any portraits! Luckily (thank you, God) the rain stopped just as they said “I Do,” and we were able to squeeze in some photos.
Scroll down for just a handful of my favorites. Trust me, I have a lot of them. Mr. & Mrs. Snyder, I hope you’re loving your cross-country road trip honeymoon. Can’t wait to see you when you get back!
Can we just take a minute to appreciate that BHLDN dress? Carly knows how to make me happy!
See that gorgeous MOH? That’s Jennifer! I photographed her wedding back in April!
Logan looked so handsome. Seriously, just look at him.
A first look with Dad…
Uh oh… here comes the rain…
Everything about this chapel was stunning. Pictures don’t even do it justice.
LOVE Carly’s expression in this one. You almost don’t notice how wet everyone was…
New favorite bridesmaids shots. I was obsessed with those farmhouse flowers!
The amazing wedding party! Those guys were so much fun, too.
The fastest I’ve ever shot wedding portraits! We could see the rain clouds coming back.
That heavenly flower field…
So cool. Their guests’ favors were bottles of whiskey, thanks to the family distillery.
*Thank you to Rebecca Renner for second shooting with me!*
